Introduction[]

You probably know how to make portraits, but in this tutorial I will show you how to edit full poses!

In case you wonder what editor I'm using, I use paint.net! It can be downloaded here

You have to know the basics of making portraits, or you might be confused.

This tutorial is by YtArie5!

Let's start![]

Firstly, get the pose and hair you want. I will some assets made by Ptysia112!

Hair 193

!!!YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THESE ASSETS, YOU CAN USE OTHERS TOO!!!

Now open up your editor, and add your pose. Then, make another layer for the hair. You'll maybe end up with a portrait like this.

BadPose rotate and size the hair to fit the body.

After doing that, the hair will probably have some things that cover some of the face,

HairProblems Erase them.

In that same spot, there's a part that should be

colored in, you can do that easily.

But wait! The hair is covering her hand! HandProblem

erase it. It's easy.

accidentally erase something? use the undo tool.

Now You did all that, congrats! You've made a fully posed oc. Here is my final character! I will name her ginger :)

"Okay, this is all great, but how do you change the clothing?"

I will show you how to do that now! <3

I will use a pose by Shronkey and a shirt by Ptysia112!

Again, you do NOT have to use these assets, you can use whatever assets you want.

First put your outfit on your character, it's gonna look a bit weird however.

Next, let's do some basic resizing and erase the pose's arms. (you do not always need to erase the arms, but in this pose it's nessecary.)

As you can see, we aren't done yet.

Use the "Eyedropper tool' to match the skin tone. Next, use the fill tool to make the uniform parts look like skin. And boom! Now the character is has a new shirt, and that is all for my tutorial!
